Empathy doesn’t work at the touch of a button, and it’s often rare in the digital space. It has been proven that the ability to empathize with others is declining in society. We therefore need to rediscover our empathy. That’s why the 20th PAWLIK Congress on November 15th and 16th, will take place under the motto “The New Empathy.”
We did a lot of research in advance and had exciting conversations. Some of them can now be read – in the new Hamburger Abendblatt magazine, which will appear on newsstands on November 11 and which we developed together. In it, Otto CEO Alexander Birken reports on the cultural change in the company, world hockey player Moritz Fürste explains how he used empathy for his leadership role on the field, undertaker Marco Kleinert talks about the balancing act between professionalism and compassion. And do you remember the singer “Blümchen”? She talks about practicing joy. We would love to share all the stories with you, from boxers to medical students helping the homeless, to incredibly interesting findings from psychology and our empathy test. But just take a look at our table of contents and – if you like – buy the magazine.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the team around the deputy editor-in-chief of the Hamburger Abendblatt Berndt Röttger for the great cooperation and the strong input they gave us with their stories and in many conversations.
